LB Farms Foundation Roans

LB Farms is owned and operated by Robert Ligon and Frances Blankenship, Moulton, Alabama. We specialize in breeding Foundation Roan Quarter Horses. Our bloodstock came from KENSA Quarter Horses of Colorado, Broken Bones Cattle Company of Wyoming, King Merritt of Colorado, Randy Dunn of Wyoming and Jerry Jeppson of Wyoming.

Bloodlines descending from Joe Hancock, Driftwood, Leo, Bert, Lowry Star, and King are the backbone of our program. Our current stallions Crowheart Chuckar, Plenty Fox Hancock and Double Rojo Rip are producing excellent colts.

LB Farms goal is to breed good using horses with the roan color.

October 31, 2016. Garrad Coffey from KY bought Blue Goose last spring. "I wanted to give you some great feedback on the horse I bought. She is doing great and I have ridden her a lot on the trail. Been to Wyoming and South Dakota with her and trail rode there for 2 weeks. Been on some pack trips here and 2 weeks ago went on a 3 day, 40 mile trip. I have also had her on cattle on the farm as well as at the sale barn and she does great! Very laid back, calm horse that does exactly what I ask. I would recommend your horses highly."
